Metallic fingers

My husband's birthday is tomorrow and I just finished his card.  Nothing like planning ahead! :)
I started by tearing the edges of a 5x7 piece of black cardstock and embossed it with a Cuttlebug Clockworks embossing folder and my Sizzix Big Shot.  I tore the edges of a smaller piece of black cardstock, making sure it was large enough for at least one complete "Happy Birthday" on the Cuttlebug Birthday embossing folder, and embossed it.  I rubbed Metallic Rub-Ons all over the embossed surfaces.
This type of Metallic Rub-Ons not the popsicle stick type!  I liked it better when I overlapped the colors - they blended better.  Then I painted the edges with a Ranger Gold Paint Dabber, added some gold cotton ribbon and brads, attached the clockworks piece to a 5x7 black card and attached the birthday piece with black foam pop dots.  I sprayed the finished card with a fixative as the metallic rub-ons also rub off.

I have to admit that I do not have inky fingers today - I have metallic fingers!
